This week on The Easy Chair: The Autodidact’s Guide to Discovering the Beat Generation in the 1980s, featuring returning guest writer/master storyteller Saul Fussiner. Come along with Saul on a magical mystery tour of his life in the ’80s, when fascinating new worlds revealed themselves to him in unexpected ways, through poetry, literature, and personal experience. The mad risk-takers of the Beat generation proved to be a perfect match for Saul’s questing, fearless soul; his look back is imbued with equal parts wistfulness and wisdom. I don’t know about you, but I craved this reprieve from the cynicism of 2016, and a return to a time when the world was on fire in the best possible way.
Next week: Shoulda Swiped Left #12. Thanksgiving means family time, which means Jake is home, which means Hannah and Jake can discuss Hannah’s dating life face to face, around our dining room table. We also have an awesome dating story from a listener. Things will be interesting, trust me. And if you have a dating story to share, please email us at [email protected].
