The Easy Chair Episode 84: Two Men Arrive In A Village (by Zadie Smith)
March 13, 2017
Prepare to be blown away by Zadie Smith reading her stunner of a short story, “Two Men Arrive In a Village.” I recorded this on International Women’s Day, which was absolutely perfect. I really don’t want to say anything more beyond oh my god just listen. Smith’s story is a hand grenade.
Next week is a singular episode of Shoulda Swiped Left. We have two fabulous dating tales from enlightened women who write wonderfully to share, and Hannah and I connect with Jake on the eve of his departure to Australia, mine to Puerto Rico, and Hannah’s to New Zealand. Two cool dating stories and some warm family bonding time! Jake also puts it out there that he wants to officiate at a wedding. Tinder is involved. Tune in to connect the dots.
And for those writers out there in search of writerly advice, email me and co-host Stephanie Spaulding at [email protected] with “Mightier Than the Sword” in the subject line. We are here to dispense advice, commiseration, and encouragement. Dating debacles, same gmail address, but with Shoulda Swiped Left in the subject line. We ALL want to hear from you!
