The group shifts the talk over to John's upbringing back east and how he spent most of his childhood as a self proclaimed "fat kid". They all try to answer the time honored question of what to do when you accidentally like an someone's old Instagram post. McGown and Stanger give John their thoughts on what is more important diet or exercise. It's Stanger and McGown holding down the fort again this week and they are joined by the delightfully hilarious comedian and actor Alyssa Limperis! The group gets the talk going quick. Erin and Stang get the skinny on Alyssa's background and find out how she reluctantly became an all-America runner! She tells how she continued to run until an injury stopped her (has she fixed it yet??) Finally the group talks about where she is now and they each share their thoughts on how to have a healthy but still fun Thanksgiving. Eugene is still out shooting but Gabrus is a Dumbbells all-star and he delivers as per usual. He tells Stanger about the 2 half marathons he ran and how he transitioned from roadwork back into the gym. Gabrus is a long time gym guy and has a lot of practical advice. Then Stanger brings Gabrus up to speed on his sleep fascination and they get in to some sleep science.     OK BellBabies, here's the plan, Euge is off shooting Tacoma FD so Stanger called in the cavalry and got the amazing Erin McGown (ERIN AND MELISSA) to co-host some episodes till the Euge-man is back. Stang and Erin do a quick catch up and talk about NASM personal trainer certification. Then Stanger lays out his plan to get some wearable technology to monitor his sleep - it's all about that deep sleep baby!     This is one of those good ones BellBabies!!! Euge and Stang were proud to welcome Oscar Montoya (SPANISH AQUÍ PRESENTS PODCAST) to The Weight Room. Oscar is a special dude with one hell of story. He tells the guys about growing up in Colombia as a boy and discovering a traditional Colombian dance that allowed him to find his passion in dancing. He brought his love of dance with him to the United States and had an intense time finding himself and owning who he was. He tells the guys about how improv brought him out of his shell and then the guys breakdown the specifics of UCB DRAG RACE an amazing monthly show that Oscar hosts at UCB.     Happy Halloween BellBabies! The guys have an awesome episode for your goodie bags. The great comedian Matt Besser (improv4humans podcast and POT HUMOR) joins Euge and Stang in The Weight Room. The group kicks the show off with a discussion about competitiveness and wether it's genetic or socially constructed. Then Matt tells the guys his story about playing competitive soccer growing up, electing to remain a big fish in a small pond and then getting a ride awakening in college. The show wraps up with some details about the taping of Besser's standup special (POT HUMOR - available now) and some craziness that happened with the audience. Listen! And happy Halloween!     What a treat! This week in The Weight Room the 'Bells welcome the great Amy Ruffle (FANTASY FLIX LEAGUE PODCAST) Amy comes to the show in great shape. She tells Euge and Stanger about growing up in Australia and excelling in competitive diving from a young age. She had an active family and an attempt to help her dad get healthy led to the first of a couple of scary bouts with eating disorders. After hard work and finding the RIGHT help Amy came out the on other side with a healthy approach to diet and exercise. It takes a lot of maintenance for her to maintain this lifestyle and she gives some great advice to anybody who might be dealing with similar issues. There is some random horror movie talk, then Euge lays out what he's been doing while TACOMA FD is filming. He's getting up early and training!!! Was he always a great b-ball player? He breaks it down for the guys, telling them about how he grew in Cleveland and found friendship and identity in the sport. In fact, he put such a value on being good a basketball that maybe he got compulsive about it? This week it's the amazing Peter Banifaz (SHAMELESS) Peter is a super funny dude and the guys have a great conversation with him. He's got an incredible story about immigrating to America and losing his accent trying to assimilate. He found joy in boxing despite his mother never really understanding it and the 'Bells pick his brain about the sweet science (boxing). He's lifting weights now and not boxing as much - does he like?     It's that time! The 'Bells got a great guest in The Weight Room for ya this week! It's the so cool, so funny, Ali Ghandour (THE GOLDBERGS, GHOSTED) Ali is a born and raised Southern California guy, he tells Euge and Stanger about playing sports in his childhood and when he began to rebel. The group connects over finding your identity in sketch comedy and improv - Ali found his late after eventually majoring Anthropology at UCLA and studying abroad - but when he found it he was off to the races and it even got him in to exercise! Also, the guys help Ali with some tips on a healthy diet and answer some questions about Soylent. "Yeah Buddy!!!"

    Happy days in The Weight Room. The guys got the mega funny Carl Tart (FLAGRANT ONES) to join them for today's podcast. Carl is a former college athlete and still plays basketball recreationally. Carl tells Euge and Stang about playing sports growing up and how once he stopped playing, he slowing but surely started adding weight over the years. Now he's decided to drop that extra weight and get back in playing shape. Carl found the perfect personal (not too pushy) trainer and his goal is to be able to dunk a basketball again - will he get there?!? "Light Weight Babyeee!!!!"

    Here we go BellBabies! This is a fun episode with lots of info. The Bells welcome the very cool, very funny Drée Vermeulen (ANGIE TRIBECA) to The Weight Room. Dree tells the guys about being raised by horse trainers and struggling with her weight as a child. She was shamed into some food issues by a withholding grandma but managed to lose a ton of weight as a kid using WeightWatchers. She has a gnarly story about breaking her leg playing soccer. Most recently Drée is using Pelaton and underwent hypnosis to deal with some compulsive eating and guess what....it worked!! All this is discussed! "Yeah Buddy!!!"

    Summer is winding down BellBabies. The guys have a great episode to end the good weather with a bang. The endlessly funny Joel Kim Booster (SUNNYSIDE) joins Euge and Stang in The Weight Room. Joel talks about his struggles with putting muscle on and how negative Instagram culture can be. He also offers some encouraging words and relatable advice about how to navigate this social media hellscape.
